How to calculate Matric and Inter percentage and grade
Your percentage is marks obtained divided by total marks, times 100.
Percentage = marks obtained ÷ total marks × 100
Examples
876 out of 1100 (Matric) is 79.64%, grade A. 1000 out of 1100 is 90.91%, grade A-1. For Inter with two parts, add the marks of Part 1 and Part 2, add their total marks, then divide and multiply by 100.
Grading scale commonly used by BISE boards

| 33% – 39.99% | E |

Some boards use newer grading schemes, so confirm with your result card.
Other percentage formulas
X% of Y = X ÷ 100 × Y. A 15% discount on Rs 2,500 is Rs 375. Percentage change = (new − old) ÷ old × 100. Going from Rs 1,200 to Rs 1,500 is a 25% rise.
